On May 21st, 2022, we had another opportunity to feel how much Americans care about Ukraine and how much Ukrainians from our community do to support Ukraine. The Alder Creek Kayak Canoe Company, an initiator of this event, provided kayaks and transferred the funds raised to the needs of Ukraine. The initiative was supported by Next Adventure, which donated a kayak for a charity auction. Mr. Paul Steinberg was the engine of the idea and the organizer of the project. We also had talented artist Tatyana Ostapenko, who painted a painting during the event, which was later sold at a charity auction. Tatyana Ostapenko has sold 95 of her paintings online since the beginning of the war in support of Ukraine. Inna Kovtun, a unique singer and collector of Ukrainian folklore shared her talent with the guests. Thanks to Albin Pozdnyakov, we also had the opportunity to present to our guests a powerful collection of posters on which the best Ukrainian artists tell about the struggle and character of courageous Ukrainians. We also wanted to thank all people involved in organizing this event, 64 Audio for providing audio equipment, and Euro Foods for baking the world’s most delicious buns.
