On May 21, 2022, Blue Sky, the Oregon Center for the Photographic Arts hosted a very special exhibit of Alexander Chekmenev’s work “In Photos: Citizens of Kyiv”. The photographs were first published in The New York Times. Tatiana Terdal ran into Chris Rauschenberg, Blue Sky’s board president at the Dakha Brakha concert. Chris proposed that Blue Sky hosts a fundraiser for Ukrainian Foundation. He, together with Blue Sky’s executive director Molly Newgard has created a beautiful exhibit at the gallery. To people who donated $100 to Ukrainian Foundation, they gifted a print of a photograph of choice from the exhibit. We are immensely grateful to Blue Sky Gallery for their support!
